The water to be purified produced as a result of washing activities is conveyed to the underground pre-treatment section for the purpose of obtaining an initial removal of any solid and/or oily substances, then the wastewater reaches an accumulation tank, inside which is located the submersible electric pump that feeds the filtration (passage through a media of fine quartzite).
After crossing the quartzite media, the clarified effluent passes to the second stage of activated carbon filtration.
The peculiarity of Activated Carbon is to be able to retain, trapping or, more properly, absorbing within its micro-porous structure some pollutants (such as, for instance, tensioactives, hydrocarbons, solvents, etc.) and at the end of the treatment the water purified can be sent to the discharge, in accordance with the current provisions of law.
